More Tips for Military Families

Mail – Tip #151

Whether or not it is your son, daughter, wife, husband, boyfriend, cousin, brother, sister, mother, father, etc. that is away on a deployment or extended absence, they all will enjoy getting mail from everyone.  It will be a way that they can stay connected to family and friends, you and your family and friends will feel useful and a sense of purpose.

An easy way of helping your friends and family to do this would be to send each person a quick letter about when your family member or friend is leaving and enclose a pre-stamped and addresessed envelope for them to use so all they have to do is include a letter, photo or card.

Many people don’t know how to send packages or letters and this would help them.  You could also refer them to http://www.anysoldier.com – it is a site that support soldiers who would love to get a package or letter, gives information about what you should and shouldn’t send, how to send packages and what soldiers love to get when they are on deployments.
