Bake Their Favourites – Readers Tip #4
Baking the familiar things that my Dad really liked helped a lot. We sent him an email about 1 month before he was due to come home and asked him what meals he missed the most. He then wrote back with a list of meals that he missed having with treats he missed and baking he couldn’t wait to bite into. We then baked and cooked ahead of time so that it would all be in the freezer. It got us all talking and together in the kitchen and working for a common goal. It also meant that when he was home we didn’t have to spend all of our time cooking, baking and/or running around. Meals were stress free (well nearly) and they were all things that my Dad loved.
