Tip #120 – Deployment and Reunion Cycles
It is very important to understand that regardless of age, race, culture, location, rank, base, etc. if you and your family are experiencing a deployment you will all experience common emotions and reactions to the absence and/or deployment and when your family member returns. I have used a variety of research, models and beliefs to create the below cycles. One of the most important tips I have to give you is to learn this cycle, understand it and then teach it to others – family, friends, co-workers, etc. It can be an important tool in understanding the changes you and your family will experience.
